Climate Stories

Growing out of conversations and relationships nurtured by MASTS, Climate Stories is a new interdisciplinary course (ASCJ 420 / JOUR 499) in which students trace climate crisis from multiple perspectives, telling stories designed to motivate action.

With support from MASTS, the USC Presidential Working Group on Sustainability, the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, and the Annenberg Innovation Lab, the course was first co-taught in Spring 2022 by Mike Ananny, Colin Maclay, and Noy Thrupkaew, with interdisciplinary students from Journalism, Communication, Cinema, Environmental Studies, and Creative Writing.
